The Portland Promise Center
The Promise Center is a faith based non-profit initiative in the heart of Louisville, Kentucky. Located in the Portland neighborhood, on the Northwest Side of the city, the ministry has been operating in some capacity since 1956 when it began as the Sunshine Club, a sidewalk Sunday School that met once a week.

Our mission is to love God and love our neighbors every day by working side by side to revitalize the Portland Neighborhood through spiritual, economic, leadership and community development.

Our Vision is for Portland to be a healed land: a place where families flourish and the peace of God is present.
PROGRAMS
The Portland Promise Center provides many opportunities for the members of the Portland community to experience God. We offer many programs for everyone from children to adults. Some of these programs include:

- Celebrate Recovery
- K-12 After school Program
- One on One Tutoring
- College Connection
- Step Group
- Summer Lunch Program
